Дорогі Парафіяни і Друзі Громади Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці:

Скоро вітатимемо один одного радісними словами: «Христос Воскрес!» і відповідатимемо не менш радісними: «Воістину Воскрес!» Радіємо у вірі, яка часами така переконлива, що уподібнюється до знання, що Воскресення Христове – це й наше особисте воскресення. Ми впевнені в тому, що Його воскресення з гробу також запевнює нас у тому, що всі милі та улюблені наші, які відійшли від цієї землі, та за якими так скучаємо – постійно таки з нами сьогодні й навіки. Христове Воскресення запевняє нас, що ми всі – вічно живі у Бозі, що справді немає нікого мертвого бо ж смерть поглинута перемогою Христовою!

Приєдную порядок Відправ на Тижні Страсний та Світлий у надії, що Вам буде можливо приєднатися д нашого святкування, чи то в Храмі, до ремонту та прикраси якого багато-хто з Вас зробив свій вклад, чи в Храмі Громади, до якої Ви особисто належите, чи просто в дусі, де б Ви не знаходилися.

Наш Храм дійсно сяє любов’ю та доглядом , яких з Божою поміччю ми докладаємо до нього. А все одно залишилось багато такого, що треба ще буде зробити. Між цим основне – це ремонт даху. Ми зремонтували куполи та стелю, яку й перемалювали та навіть оздобили прекрасними зірками, щоб віддзеркалював красу Божого всесвіту. Але тому, що ми не змогли позволити собі на ремонт даху минулого року далі тут то там вода протікає і на ново помальованій стелі тут то там починає відходити фарба. Виходки теж потребують ще багато праці, а також потрібні й інші ремонти.

Наша Церковна рада вирішила подати виклик – а разом з тим уклінне прохання – щоб кожний з наших членів пожертвував або зібрав по 500 доларів на ці особливі потреби. Ми також дуже свідомі того, що не кожний зможе це виконати, отож закликаємо тих, які можуть подарувати чи зібрати більше цього, саме так і зробити. Ми також будемо вдячні приятелям нашої Громади, які не є нашими членами, за будь яку поміч, що зможуть віддати. Просимо запам’ятати, що найефективніша поміч це завжди щира та ревна Молитва.

Я також хотів би подати виклик усім, що не є членами інших Громад і поки що ще не прийняли офіційно крок, щоб стати членами нашої Громади, щоб застановились над таким рішенням. А тим, які є членами пригадую, що Річні Збори членів Громади ухвалили річне членство у сумі 200 доларів. Такі пожертви допомагають Громаді а також дають Вам змогу відрахувати ревну суму з Ваших прибуткових податків.

Будемо молитися у наших Відправах за Ваше здоров’я та щоб Вас та Ваших рідних та близьких у всьому поблагословив Господь. Просимо надалі й Ваших Молитов за нас.

Dear Members & Friends of Saint Mary the Protectress Hromada:

Soon we shall be greeting each other with the joyous words: “Christ Is Risen” and responding: “He Is Risen Indeed!” We rejoice in the faith – which sometimes is so firm as to almost be the same as knowledge – that Christ’s resurrection is also our own resurrection. We are convinced that His rising from the grave also assures us of the eternal presence in our lives of all of our dear ones whose earthly presence we miss. Christ’s resurrection assures us that we are all alive in God – that no one is really dead, for death has been swallowed up in victory!

I am attaching the order of Services for Passion Week and Bright Week in the hope that you shall be able to join us in our celebrations – either in our temple, to the repair and beautification of which many of you have contributed, or in the temple of the Hromada of which you personally are a member, or simply in spirit wherever you may find yourself.

Our temple truly shines with the love and care that God has helped us to show towards His House. And still there are many things yet to be done. Chief among them is the repair of the roof. We repaired the cupolas and re-plastered and re-painted the ceiling, even placing lovely stars upon it to remind us of the glories of God’s cosmos. But because we were not able to afford to do the roof last year, there continue to be leaks and the newly painted ceiling itself is showing a few spots where the paint is peeling again. The bathrooms also require further major work and there are other repairs needed as well.

Our Church Council has decided to issue to the challenge – as well as our humble request - that all of our members donate or raise $500 towards these special needs. We are very much aware that some will simply not be able to manage this. We therefore call upon those who can do better than that to please do so. We shall also be very grateful to the friends of our Hromada who are not members for any help that they shall be able to give. Please remember that the most effective help is that of sincere and ardent prayer.

I should also like to issue the call to those who are not members of other communities and have not yet formally committed themselves to membership in our Hromada to please consider doing so. Those who are members are reminded that the annual membership dues are $200. Such donations benefit the Hromada, and also give you the opportunity to make deductions on your income tax returns.

We shall be praying for your health and for every blessing for you and yours during our Services. Please continue to pray for us as well!
